Royal Pools by Adams designs and builds custom inground swimming pools throughout Irvington, the crossroads district at the heart of Fremont. We are a Diamond Certified pool construction company based about 30 minutes south on Camden Avenue in San Jose, and we have been building Bay Area pools since 1969. Irvington grew up around Five Corners, the meeting of Fremont, Washington, Union, and Bay streets, and it was already an education and cultural center when it joined the other four towns to form Fremont in 1956. The district even has a geologic era named for it: the Irvingtonian age of North American mammals takes its name from fossils dug here. For pool construction the geography is refreshingly simple. Irvington occupies the flat valley plain between I-880 and the Mission San Jose foothills, and its midcentury tract neighborhoods, Grimmer, Blacow, and the Sundale streets, offer level lots, standard side-yard access, and predictable excavation schedules. Permits run through the City of Fremont’s Citizen Access portal, reviewed by Building and Safety on Liberty Street, and every new residential pool carries at least two of seven required drowning-prevention features under Fremont’s pool code. One detail we never skip: Alameda County Water District blends imported water with harder local Niles Cone groundwater, so the hardness of your fill water varies with the blend, and we test it on fill day before balancing the plaster startup chemistry. Flat lots, clean process, honest schedule: Irvington is our kind of build.

Yes. Irvington is part of the City of Fremont, and an in-ground pool always requires a building permit. Applications go through the city’s online Citizen Access portal, reviewed by Building and Safety at the Development Services Center, 39550 Liberty St. We prepare the plans, manage the review cycle, and schedule the inspections.
That is the district’s signature build. The Grimmer, Blacow, and Sundale tracts pair level former-farmland lots with standard side-yard access, which keeps excavation conventional and schedules predictable. Where a home still has its original decades-old pool, we quote remodels and full replacements too.
Alameda County Water District, on a typical-year blend of roughly 40 percent State Water Project, 20 percent San Francisco regional supply, and 40 percent local Alameda Creek watershed sources including Niles Cone groundwater.
It can. ACWD deliberately blends imported San Francisco water with harder local groundwater, so hardness varies with the day’s blend. We test the actual fill water on fill day and balance calcium hardness and alkalinity to the number we measure, never to an assumption.
At least two of seven drowning-prevention features under the Fremont Swimming Pool and Spa Code, such as an isolating enclosure, removable mesh fencing with a self-latching gate, an ASTM-rated safety cover, or exit alarms on doors with pool access. We build them into the design and document them for the city inspector.
Generally yes. The district sits on the flat valley plain between I-880 and the Mission San Jose foothills, so digs here are conventional compared with slope work to the east. Soil conditions are still verified per lot before we schedule the excavator.
