Then our team produces detailed plans with 3D renderings, handles all permits with your local building department, and builds with our own crews on-site every day.

The Adams family has been building pools since 1953. Royal Pools has operated from the same San Jose location since 1969. Between both companies, that adds up to over 140 years of combined building experience and more than 350 employees who show up every day knowing exactly what they’re doing.
We build 90% of every project with our own in-house crews. Excavation, plumbing, steel, shotcrete, tile, electrical, equipment. The remaining work goes to hand-selected subcontractors who have worked with us for decades. Most swimming pool companies subcontract major portions of the job. Your excavation crew works for one company, your plumber works for another, and your tile installer has never met your project manager. We don’t operate that way.
Construction quality backs up the process. We shoot shotcrete at 4,000 PSI and use a 65 pcf double-reinforced steel schedule that exceeds engineering specifications on every project. We run two skimmers and 2.5-inch pipe where competitors use fewer skimmers and smaller pipe. The result: zero structural failures in the last ten years.
Every line item in your proposal has its own price. No bundled pricing that hides where the money goes. Two showrooms give you hands-on access to materials before construction starts. Our San Jose showroom at 2258 Camden Ave is the only outdoor pool showroom in the Bay Area. Our Pleasanton showroom at 3675 Old Santa Rita Road offers the same design consultation experience indoors.

The best time to start your pool design and build project in Northern California is four to six months before you want to swim in it. Permitting, design, and construction take time. The earlier you start the conversation, the more flexibility you have with scheduling. We offer free consultations at your home or at either showroom.
